2021 Global Outstanding Intrapreneur Recipient

I was thrilled last week to be awarded the Global Outstanding Intrapreneur Award for the Not for Profit sector. It was a huge surprise and I am only just getting my head around how significant an award this is.

Just as important is WHY I was nominated.

For the last two years, the events industry has been … decimated. They have been a shadow of their former selves – both in business, music and artistic events. (Sporting events have continued but don’t get me started on that!)

As an active member of Professional Speakers Australia, I wanted to do everything I could to help my fellow speakers get online and get GOOD at presenting online as quickly as possible. So for the last two years I have had numerous one on one conversations, hosted group conversations, run training events and contributed heavily on social media about this topic.

I did this, not because I thought “I could win an award” but because I know that a rising tide floats all boats. Because I know that being of service helps ME grow (I learnt so much answering other peoples questions). Because I believe what Einstein said, “Only a life lived for others is a life worth living.”

• Who share my joy at this measure of success, thank you.
