Powerful People Plan to Power Down. Do You?

It’s yet another lockdown here in Melbourne. I think we are up to number four? I have to be honest, this one has been the hardest. I started off thinking positive, being positive, sharing positive thoughts and then got to the … “Stuff this” phase.

I had many things on my to do list for the weekend. I ended up not doing much. I gave myself permission to do stuff all. I hung out with my gorgeous wife until she had to go to work and then hung with Winston the Wonder Poodle. Ignored the lawns and chopping board I had planned to make. Went for some walks. Wrote in my journal. Listened to music. Snoozed. Watched fun animation films (I am loving Mitchell’s vs the Machines on Netflix!!) and just powered down.

This morning I am feeling much better within myself. It feels like I have turned my self off, waited, and then turned my self on again.

Now I know if you are a parent, a carer or have other responsibilities this is harder to do. It is also even MORE important to do. So make sure you plan for it. You MUST give your self the space and time to reboot. Reset all your settings. Take some time to take some time. Give yourself the freedom to have some freedom.

It will help you focus, keep you on track and enable you to achieve your goals without burning out.

So when will you plan to power down?
